Endocrinology is one of the youngest and most rapidly developing branches of medicine dealing with the treatment of diseases associated with disorders in the endocrine system. Endocrinology problems, to one degree or another, affect almost all areas of medicine and are closely related to cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, and gynecology.
